Internet Everywhere for Real?
Internet is
something that’s more important and needed in the present. Which means, everyone
is going to need access to it. Most popular places in the world were made sure
to make internet available easily.
This concept
started to take up current tech giants’ minds. Although, every tech company,
also every curious mind in the world, continuously think about ways to make
life easier. The emergence of 4G promised good network connection anywhere in
the world, and it did. At least, connection that is enough for certain tasks.
But even
with 4G, people weren’t 100 percent happy with the connections. They needed
something that’s capable of pouring in entertainment from streaming services like
Netflix, YouTube, and so on.
SpaceX has come
up with a solution to network availability. Their new ‘Starlink’ satellites are
capable of unimagined speeds of network, from satellites.
Let’s go more in detail. There are going to be a full constellation of satellites on the Low Earth Orbit, means that its going to be closer to earth than most other satellites. This is going to provide network access to almost everywhere, with extremely low latency. SpaceX also promised that there will not be more pollution in the atmosphere. The satellites are designed in such a way that, after its life, the low orbit causes the debris to melt and dissolve in the air. Tests are still in progress as to whether is it still safe. Also, the pricing will be competitive with the other networks in the world.
But, to all
the star gazers out there, there are going to be most probable light pollutions
all around the sky, and you may not be see your favourite constellation. This
is still being worked on too. Astronomers have confirmed that the number of
satellites visible will be more than the visible number of stars in a normal
night sky. Also, some observatories claim that they cannot reschedule due to
these satellites. The sky is going to get really crowded. {Considering the fact
that social distancing is to be maintained…}.
In my
opinion, we can’t really have everything we need. But the fact that SpaceX did
not lose hope, and still continuing to develop solutions to these problems,
makes me happy. Leave your comments below, and share this post! Farewell, meet
